Partner Up Mall Walk

This past Saturday, I was invited to attend the 1st Annual Partner Up Mall Walk at Scottsdale Fashion Square.  As the "official celebrity greeter", I had a fantastic time getting to speak with attendees and volunteers.  The event benefited the prevention and education programs of the Partnership for a Drug-free America Arizona Affiliate, a non-profit organization.  Thank you Ann for a great opportunity!

Phoenix Children's Hospital

In late June, I was invited to visit the Phoenix Children's Hospital.  Channel 15 was there to document my visit which included visiting several patients, playing videogames in the Teen Room, making jewelry in the Tween Room and hanging out in the School Rocks Classroom.  I had an absolute pleasure getting to know each and every patient.  I hope I was able to brighten the day of just a few of the patients I had the chance to visit with. 

The Children's Hospital is an organization very close to my heart.  When I was young, my cousin was diagnosed with cancer and passed away at the age of 15.  During her battle, she received treatment at Seattle Children's Hospital.  Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses and other staff at the Children's Hospitals across the nation.  You are truly amazing!!!

Photoshoot with Byron & Sylvia Medina

This past weekend I had the pleasure to work with Byron and Sylvia Media and Leslie Laitsch of Believe Salon on my competition headshots.  Byron, Sylvia and Leslie were an unbelievable team.  They took me from soccer mom to glamourous queen - not an easy task!  I felt so relaxed and absolutely beautiful during the entire photo shoot.  You never would have known I was doing laundry and taking care of a sick baby just a few hours before.  Great work Byron, Syliva and Leslie.  If you are looking for great headshots, call Byron at 602-405-5931 and his wife Sylvia for makeup at 480-295-6010.  Of course you have to have fabulous hair too, call Leslie at Believe Salon at 480-510-0029.
